On November 9, thousands of students at UC Berkeley and across the state rallied to refund public education in California. They asked higher education leaders to support increasing taxes on the super-rich and the closing corporate property tax loopholes in Proposition 13.  The Berkeley administration and UC Regents so far have refused to sign the ReFund California pledge. Instead, the Berkeley Chancellor called for an aggressive police intervention to break down a non-violent protest on Sproul Plaza, later claiming in an e-mail that linking arms to prevent police officers from making arrests was “not non-violent”.

This is a page to collect evidence and testimonies from the November 9th events on Sproul Plaza. Please e-mail any content for this page to nov9sproul@gmail.com.
